CBPR+ and ISO20022 Update for Swiss/Liechtenstein Community with Swift
ISO 20022 is more than a standard because it is a fundamental building block of our payment ecosystem and infrastructure. Structured data now underpins everything we are doing, whether domestic or cross-border, to achieve better reconciliation, better service offerings in a customer-centric payments ecosystem, and more efficiency for our community as well as to regulatory compliance.
With less than 18 months to go until the end of the coexistence period, the daily average number of CBPR+ messages exchanged are increasing.
The Swift Board re-confirmed the commitment to November 2025 as the end of the MT/MX (ISO 20022) cross-border coexistence period. Therefore, as from this point in time, all payment instructions are to be exchanged in ISO 20022 message format.
Since this changeover is often seen solely as a changeover in cross-border format. However, it often also has an impact on your other internal bank processing procedures, which also requires appropriate attention.
Upon request of the Swiss and Liechtenstein community there is a need for more practical information on this, which is why we are delighted to offer you an in-depth webinar.
In this webinar jointly hosted by SASFS and Swift Switzerland, we would like to further elaborate as per following agenda.
